RivalRadar is a competitor-intelligence app for Shopify merchants. This policy describes, in plain language, what data we handle and what we never touch. If anything here is unclear, email [email protected] and a real person will answer.

What we collect

• Your shop's identity and settings. Your myshopify domain, the competitors you choose to track, your notification and alert preferences, your shop's currency and timezone, and the briefings we generate for you.
• Your own product catalog. With your permission (the read_products scope), we read your products' titles, handles, types and prices to compare your pricing against competitors. We request no other scopes.
• Public competitor data. We read competitors' publicly available product listings — the same information any visitor to their storefront can see. We access nothing private about any store.
• Contact details you give us directly. If you request a free report or email us, we keep your email address and correspondence so we can reply.

What we never collect

• No customer data. We never request, read, or store any data about your customers — no names, emails, addresses, orders, or payment details.
• No payment credentials. Billing is handled entirely by Shopify; we never see card or bank details.

How we use it

Solely to provide the service: monitoring the competitors you chose, generating your briefings, and — only if you opt in — emailing them to you. We do not sell data, share it with third parties for marketing, or use it to train AI models.

Where it lives and who processes it

• App data is stored on servers we operate.
• Shopify processes app installation, authentication and billing.
• Resend delivers our emails when you have opted in to receive them.
• Cloudflare provides networking and inbound email routing.

Retention and deletion

• Uninstalling the app stops all monitoring for your shop.
• On receiving Shopify's deletion webhook after uninstall, we erase your shop's competitors, briefings, settings and session data.
• You can ask us to delete anything sooner at any time — one email is enough.

GDPR

We honour Shopify's mandatory privacy webhooks. Because we hold no customer personal data, customer data requests have nothing to return by design; shop data is erased as described above. For any privacy request, contact [email protected].
